This 1999 Shelby Series 1 is number 48 of 249 examples produced by Shelby American and is finished in silver over black and gray leather. Power comes from an Oldsmobile-based quad-cam 4.0-liter V8 paired with a six-speed manual transaxle. The Series 1 was designed by Shelby American and was manufactured at the company’s facility in Las Vegas, Nevada. The carbon-fiber and fiberglass laminate bodywork are mounted on an aluminum chassis. The car is finished in silver and features a black soft top, front fog lamps, a heat extractor hood, dual-outlet exhaust, and fender vents. Shelby’s signature was embroidered on the backrest. A spare driver’s seat designed for shorter drivers is included in the sale.

The four-spoke steering wheel frames a 170-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges. The digital odometer shows 592 miles.

The Oldsmobile-sourced 4.0-liter Aurora L47 V8 was factory rated at 320 horsepower and 290 Lb-ft of torque. The engine features carbon fiber covers and intake tubing as well as Borla mufflers.
