This 1953 Jaguar XK120 SE Roadster was refurbished under prior ownership by powder coating the frame and having the engine and transmission rebuilt by XKs Unlimited of San Luis Obispo, California. The paint and body work was performed by Sacio Enterprises of San Diego, California, and the interior was redone by Westminster Auto Interiors of Anaheim, California.
Powered by a 3.4-liter inline-six linked with a four-speed manual transmission, the car features dual SU carburetors, a C-type cylinder head, a beige convertible top, side curtains, chrome 16” wire wheels, and Smiths gauges.
The car is repainted in British Racing Green following body work performed by Sacio Enterprises. The beige convertible top and matching side curtains reportedly were redone by K&H European Auto Upholstery of Garden Grove, California. Exterior equipment includes a split front windshield, chrome front bumpers, chrome rear bumperettes, and polished dual exhaust outlets.
The cabin features tan leather upholstery that reportedly was sourced from England and installed by Westminster Auto Interiors during the refurbishment. Color-coordinated door panels and carpeting are complemented by a passenger-side grab handle, a dashboard-mounted rearview mirror, and door-panel map pockets.
The four-spoke steering wheel has been refurbished. Smiths instrumentation includes a 140-mph speedometer, a reverse-sweep 6k-rpm tachometer with an inset analog clock, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 170 miles, which is said to reflect the distance accumulated since completion of the refurbishment.
The 3.4-liter DOHC inline-six features dual SU carburetors. The engine and carburetors were rebuilt by XKs Unlimited under prior ownership, and the cylinder head is said to have been replaced with a C-type unit. The removed cylinder head is included in the sale.
The completion of the refurbishment occurred in October of 2024.
This XK120 SE is offered with a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, a folder of service records and a tool roll.
